Decorate Halloween Cookies With Duff Goldman at Keiki in the Kitchen
(Sponsored) Kids can meet Duff Goldman, Ethan Wacker and celeb chefs at the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018.
The Hawaii Food & Wine Festival’s annual HMAA presents Keiki in the Kitchen event is star-studded this year. On Oct. 28, on the roof of the Hawai‘i Convention Center, Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman leads kids in decorating Halloween cookies and Adam Richman emcees the Localicious Recipe Cooking Contest. That’s not all—Ethan Wacker from Disney’s Bizaardvark joins his mom, children’s book author Eileen Wacker, and his sister Natalie to do a reading of Red Penguin and the Missing Sushi, from Eileen’s Fujimini Adventure Series. It’s the perfect book for HFWF—it’s about a community of animals preparing food for the Moon Festival!
There will also be the inaugural Zippy’s presents Made in Hawaii Marketplace by Kids for Kids. Using seed money from the festival, students from 19 programs at 10 O‘ahu public high schools, such as Farrington and Roosevelt, have created “businesses” and will be selling products such as honey-lilikoi butter, cutting boards and potted plants. It is the culmination of a HFWF program that aims to teach culinary-related entrepreneurship skills. Plus, the Convention Center’s simultaneous Sunset Mele on the Rooftop will be screening the film Ferdinand.
Advance tickets are available online. Admission is free for HMAA members.
