Darcey Iwashita: Pinhole Camera
|
A self-portrait taken near Webster Hall on the UH Manoa campus by UH grad student and photographer Darcey Iwashita. The photo, shot with a homemade pinhole camera constructed from an oatmeal can, was recently exhibited as part of a pinhole photography show at thirtyninehotel by the Analog Sunshine Recorders, a collective of local photographers who shoot with film and toy cameras. “You never know how the photos are going to turn out,” says Iwashita, of shooting with her oatmeal can. “The best part is when you get something better than what you were expecting.”
