Competitively priced Kalani Iki

I’ve been up to Kalani Iki Estates a few times lately for poolside barbecues, and am always impressed with the layout of the neighborhood. It flows like a “normal” neighborhood, but it’s actually a CPR area, in which the homeowners all pay association fees.

The area is quiet, and the homes are spaced far enough apart that they all have privacy, so you can’t hear noises from other residents—like my friend yelling at her naughty cat.

“I actually grew up in this neighborhood, and I can attest to the beauty and serenity there. Not to mention, the neighborhood is in a fantastic location minutes from Kahala Mall, and a short ride from Hawaii Kai and all of the famous south shore beaches,” says public relations rep Noel Nicholas. “The neighborhood association is open and friendly, and welcomes input and participation from all residents, and all residents can enjoy the pool, clubhouse and tennis courts.

The homes come in a variety of sizes, but this one is a fairly large, 2,008-square-foot residence with four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, including a master suite with a huge walk-in closet. The entire living area opens out onto a large lanai encased in greenery, so the whole house is filled with cool breezes.

Although the interior hasn’t been renovated, the owners did install some new, big-ticket items that will save the buyers headaches in the years to come, including a new roof, new carpeting and newexterior paint.

For the size and location, the price is pretty good, too. This home will be open this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. (Click here for details.)
