Seven-thousand square feet of al fresco fun awaits at Búho Cocina y Cantina. The restaurant’s ocean-view rooftop setting, tribal-patterned walls and lively salsa music make it the perfect spot to unwind, dine and dance in Waikīkī.

Owner Hide Sakurai designed the space to have the feel of a modern-day Mexican street party, and commissioned contemporary artist Aaron De La Cruz to paint the restaurant’s signature graffiti-inspired wall murals. The rest of the fiesta vibe comes from the eatery's saucy décor—open fire pits, animal-skin trims and lush foliage—and spicy, new-school Mexican dishes.

Pulling in fresh, local ingredients and sexying them up with bold, south-of-the-border-style spices and seasonings, dishes like the Mexican Pork Lau Lau, Pineapple Pico Pork Belly Tacos and Grilled Kona Lobster will take your tastebuds on a global, culinary adventure.

Off shore, Bunch can be found luring in big-game ‘ahi with his dad and uncles, while Taylor, an extreme-sport enthusiast, enjoys hitting the kickboxing mat.
