Pianist Xiayin Wang brings her artistry to the Islands.

Classical pianist Xiayin Wang has been called “a paragon of virtuosity” and this month, for the first time, will come to Honolulu. Wang recently performed at Carnegie Hall, and her latest CD, which featured music by Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, debuted on the Billboard Classical Music Chart. In Hawaii, she’ll conduct master classes and, in concert, will perform works by Scriabin, as well as Haydn, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel and Gershwin. On Nov. 16, she appears at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa’s Orvis Auditorium; on Nov. 18, performs at Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center; on Nov. 21, Wang is in concert at the East Hawaii Cultural Center in Hilo.
