Catch Pokémon at the Best of Honolulu Event

Your Instagram shots from the event using the #bestofhonolulu hashtag could win you prizes.

So which team are you: yellow, blue or red? If you downloaded the Pokémon Go app, you know exactly what we’re talking about. And, with all the people we’ve run into around our own neighborhoods, at the park, at a church, driving by slowly or standing on the sidewalk staring at their phones, chances are high that you know exactly what a PokéStop is and are building up your own Pokédex. Hey, no judging. We love Pokémon, too. That’s why we’ll be dropping lure modules this Saturday, July 16 during our Best of Honolulu event at Honolulu Hale.

At 10 a.m., noon and 3 p.m., you’ll find lure modules in three places around the event grounds—the keiki zone, the food area and the Art + Flea tent. These lure modules attract Pokémon to a PokéStop at a higher rate for 30 minutes, so you have more chances to catch them all. Be sure to snap photos of the Pokémon you find at the event and post them on Instagram with #bestofhonolulu. We’ll be selecting our favorite photos every hour and lucky winners can pick up their prizes at the HONOLULU Magazine tent.
