Body Painting by Chad Morisato

With an airbrush, paint brushes and three hours of work, artist Chad Morisato transformed a model into a koi pond. “It’s a water-based cosmetic, so as soon as she takes a shower, it washes right off,” he assures us. Morisato also works in canvas, doing more traditional acrylics. “I get my inspiration from the Old Masters and Hawaii’s vibrant colors,” he says. He started doing body painting as a First Friday exhibition, but is now working on a coffee table book with photographer Joe Marquez, who shot this image.
