[Best of 2015] New Boutique: Diamond Head Beach House
This Monsarrat Avenue shop is the sister store to Rebecca Beach.
We're reminiscing about some of our favorite stories from 2015! This cute boutique completely charmed us when we first stopped by in August, and we're still totally infatuted. So much so, in fact, that we included it in our annual fashion feature, 18 Reasons We Love Hawai'i Fashion, under No. 3: Shopping Holoholo.

You’re totally tripping—with wanderlust envy. The entire summer, everyone’s been bopping across the pond to Iceland, Thailand … even Disneyland. Meanwhile, you’re stuck here on the rock watching your suitcase gather dust. You need a holiday.
We don’t have any spare tickets to Paris lying around, but how about a getaway to a trendy, super-stylish beach house from your dreams? It’s the perfect hot spot if you love fun in the sun, frolicking in the water and just lounging.
We’re talking about Diamond Head Beach House, the cutest new boutique from the fashionistas behind Rebecca Beach, our favorite store for resortwear finds. This beacon of brightly colored good cheer on Monsarrat Avenue has the beach-shack look down, complete with a teeny balcony, a vibrant beach umbrella and a fresh coat of the happiest shade of cerulean you’ll ever see.
If you’re not already starting to feel like you’re on vacation, take a step inside the light-filled, airy space. The gals behind the shop wanted to curate a store that embodied their own personal Hawaiian beach lifestyle. You’ll find ocean-inspired bikinis, tanks, cover-ups, shoes, fins, bags, hats—even kids’ clothes. Local designers have always been big on their radar, and at Diamond Head Beach House it’s no different. Kiddos will stay chic in Luli Luli Bikinis, while chunky totes from Maui-based Alola will hold everything you need for the beach. Guys will find Shoots tees to be perfect for Island adventures, while Meleana’s side-tie shorts with precious aloha prints are the ideal wahine uniform.
For our part? We couldn’t stop ogling the cheeky, shell-shaped phone cases or the too-cool sun hats with teal or pink bands. Pretty beach towels? Check. So-comfy-you-could-live-in-'em button-downs? Double check.
This is one staycation we want to book again and again.
