After meeting and spending time with Dr. Howard Kim, Dr. Bren Chun was inspired to serve children through pediatric dentistry. Little did he know that Dr. Kim would end up being his boss…and his father-in-law!
Dr. Bren graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Lutheran Medical Center – Kokua Kalihi Valley Health Center. After completing a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, he returned to Hawai‘i to become part of the Kim Pediatric Dentistry team and family.
Numerous service outreach trips to provide dental care have taken Dr. Bren from South America to Thailand, Fiji and the Philippines. Through all his stops around the world, he has found one thing to be true: “No matter where you’re from, young or old, rich or poor, everyone wants and deserves to be treated with honesty and compassion.”
Dr. Bren is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
