The Honolulu chapter of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) doles out annual awards to recognize great design. For the first time, they’re letting the public weigh in through the new People’s Choice Award. “We hope to elevate the public’s awareness of the value of good design in helping to strengthen our communities,” says Amy Blagriff, executive vice president of AIA Honolulu. There are 32 entrants this year, from homes to shiny commercial buildings. Cast a ballot for your favorite by visiting www.aiahonolulu.org and follow the online link to the voting page.
