Kawaii Kon returned to the Hawai‘i Convention Center from March 2–4, 2018. Every year, thousands gather for this three-day celebration of Japanese anime, art, music and culture.

This year’s Hale ‘Aina Awards, themed Destination Delicious, took place on Sunday, Sept. 17 at The Royal Hawaiian. Guests took a culinary trip around the world in one evening as they dined on artfully crafted dishes from Hawai‘i’s best chefs.

This year’s Amazing Hawai‘i Comic Con took place from Aug. 25–27 at the Hawai‘i Convention Center. Comic, gaming and science fiction fans dressed in cosplay, attended discussion panels, took photos with celebrities and more.
