Honolulu Marathon 2014

More than 31,000 athletes participated in the 42nd Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014. Kenyan athlete Wilson Chebet was the first to cross the finish line to win the marathon title. Joyce Chepkirui became the first-ever female winner from Kenya.

SantaCon 2014

People dressed up as Santa (or a holiday-themed character) and bar-hopped through downtown Honolulu for SantaCon. They sampled libations at Gordon Biersch, Murphy’s Bar and Grill, O’Toole’s Irish Pub, Bar 35, Next Door, Manifest and Downbeat Diner & Lounge on Dec. 6, 2014.

The event featured captivating designer runway shows, the Bank of Hawai‘i Pop-Up Boutique, W Salon, Paul Brown and Rice Force beauty bars, Inspiration Interiors lounge areas and a Hawaiian Airlines exhibit and first class lounge.

Special Olympics Hawaii: Over the Edge 2014

On Nov. 8, 2014, participants donated funds to a good cause and got a chance to rappel 40 stories from the roof of the Hyatt Regency Waikīkī Beach Resort & Spa in support of local Special Olympics athletes.
