As Hawaii Five-0 begins its second season filming today, fans around the world are fantasizing about the beautiful locales that the show features. One of those locations, this beachfront estate at 210 N. Kalaheo Ave., is actually available for sale. (Click here for details.)

The estate consists of a main home and a guest home located on one and a half acres in an area called Beachfront, which is just before Lanikai on the Windward coast. Jeff Kerr of Kerr Michaels Design designed and managed the construction of the entire estate including the furnishings, and is the listing agent for the property. Business partners Steven Connell and Craig Mitchell own it.

Kerr says they designed the estate to replicate similar properties that were constructed in the early 1900s, with just the two structures and nearly 240 feet of grass and extensive landscaping to provide privacy. Although the property is zoned for four homes, they decided not to maximize density.

The interior of the main home is a sprawling 8,419 square feet, with another 5,359 square feet of lanai area. With five bedrooms, five baths, two powder rooms, and a professional media/movie room, you can find your own piece of privacy within this private estate—which you may want when you have guests, since it has 14 parking stalls (unless you’re using those for your car collection).

There’s a 450-square-foot cabana area adjacent to the pool and spa, as well.

But wait, there’s more: The guesthouse is larger than most regular houses, with 1,925 square feet of living area and a 318-square-foot lanai. It has its own two-car garage, three bedrooms, three baths, and a powder room. (Click here for a panoramic virtual tour of the entire home.)

“We used natural timeless materials such as moss rock walls, African mahogany doors, hardwood flooring and slabs of Peruvian limestone flooring throughout including a cedar wood shingle roof with copper gutters,” Kerr explains.

The estate is so amazing and removed from the frantic pace of metro Honolulu, it is sought out by VIPs and celebrities for their Hawaii visits.

“We have leased the estate to numerous celebrities for between $50,000 to $80,000 monthly. The majority of our guests fly in on private jets with security, chefs, and various assistants,” Kerr says. “We have also provided the same services to other guests that do not bring their own staff.”

This design-to-sell home was inspired by similar estates at the Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island, Kerr says, but it’s closer to Honolulu’s amenities, including its museums, restaurants and hospitals, without as much vog.

“There’s nothing like it on Oahu,” he says.
