Yasue checks in with officials at Sendai’s professional baseball team to see when they hope to throw out the first pitch in their home stadium.

After reading your update on Sendai’s professional baseball team, I decided to try and contact one of their marketing executives. I emailed Mr. Sakaki of the Rakuten Eagles to see how he was doing. He is the gentleman who gave us a special stadium tour last June.
He was down south in the Osaka area on 3/11 but his wife was in Sendai when the quake struck. He and his family are fine. They have since evacuated to Tokyo because he has to travel all the time anyway for his work with the Eagles. He said he also received an email from your parent company which he very much appreciated. I told him about your company’s fundraiser for Tohoku University Hospital.
Rakuten’s stadium did suffer some quake damaged. According to their Web site, their first game of the season will be April 12 at QVC Marine Stadium in Chiba.
If all goes well with the stadium repairs, they are hoping to have their first home game in Sendai on April 29.
