April 3 – Putting the FUN in Fundraiser

Imagine getting a gift of fun and food in return for giving from the heart.

That is exactly what will happen to more than 2,000 people on Saturday, April 9, when they make their donation to the …With Aloha Fundraiser for Tohoku University Hospital. A full 100% of the money they give will go directly and immediately to the hospital in Sendai but the gift-givers will be encouraged to stay for four hours of some of our Islands’ best food, drinks and entertainment.

You can now purchase tickets directly on the event’s Web site using the UH ETicket system. Also, you can follow the instructions for reserving them by email or simply pay at the door.

In addition to the numerous restaurants we listed when first announcing this event, the following eateries have joined in the fun:

The Tavern at Princeville by Roy Yamaguchi
Side Street Inn
Fresh Island Fish Co.
Honolulu Burger Company
Hanapa’a Sushi Co.

Additionally, there will be a silent auction with golf, airline tickets, room nights, hand-made feather leis and much, much more. With 100% of the money raised at the silent auction going to Japan, this is just one more way for the gift-givers to be gifted.

For weeks, people have been asking Yasue and I how they can help the people of Japan in a way in which the money goes directly to those in need. This is just one way to do that. There are others as well. What we like about this April 9 event our parent company is organizing, is that it rewards those in need as well as those who gave to them with a gift of Aloha. Please give and receive on April 9 . . . With Aloha.
