Sam Choy’s Breakfast, Lunch & Crab is marking its 12th anniversary with a special celebration at the Iwilei restaurant. The June 24 benefit for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii (RMHC-Hawaii) will feature an array of Chef Aurelio Garcia’s special dishes—delectable local favorites highlighting Hawaii’s rich ethnic diversity.
To compliment the menu, Chef Choy is also offering a Mojit0 Bar, wine, and Sam’s “Big Aloha” microbrew beer assortment. Scheduled to entertain during the 6p.m.-9p.m. event are Willie K., Laga Savea, Sean Tiwanak with local celebrity emcee Augie T.
“Giving back to the local community is key to any business organization,” said Sam Choy. “We are excited to invite Ronald McDonald House Charities into our home and provide proceeds from our anniversary event to such a worthy organization.”

Jerri Chong, RMHC-Hawaii President noted that Chef Choy has been a strong supporter of the organization for many years. “This is the seventh time Sam has dedicated his anniversary to RMHC-Hawaii,” Chong said. “He has also come up to the House to visit with the children going through treatment and he has even brought up a group of young people to do volunteer chores around the House. It’s obvious that he truly cares.”
