“I love it,” Ed Sugimoto says of Kaimukī, the location of his newest Aloha Revolution outpost. “I love that it’s a walking neighborhood. And I grew up in the area. I used to ride my bike this way all the time. For me, it’s a real nostalgic and memorable place.”
By “this way” Sugimoto means the first few blocks ‘ewa of Koko Head Avenue. There, on a quiet stretch of 12th Avenue, just off Harding, he set up shop in a charming 1928 cottage that he purchased and spent the first half of 2024 restoring.

Right now, you can snag hot items, such the brand’s new sakura graphic tees, SPF+50 hoodies and palm-print and performance fabrics snapbacks.
This Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m., the shop will host a blessing and grand opening celebration. Festivities will include a lion dance by the Gee Yung International Martial Arts Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association and an ukulele performance by Jody Kamisato’s Ukulele Hale music school.
