After taking a brief baby hiatus (say hello to the adorable Olive), local fashion jeanious Allison Izu is back on the scene, sizing up, or should we say, sizing down, the denim world with her popular petite jeans line made for women 5’6” and under.
The creative direction of Izu’s Spring 2012 collection focuses on a handful of new washes, which range from ultra-light to midnight blue, grinding details (distressed and shredded spots) and lighter weight fabrics, such as chambray.
The entire collection will be available in stores in spring, but you can pre-shop four of its styles online now at shopallisonizu.com — the Parker Bootcut, which comes in dark and vintage washes with grinding details, the Hotel & Smith Straight Skinny done in a light, ’70s-inspired wash and the UK High St. Skinny. And in the months to follow, Izu will release five more styles, including a work-ready trouser, a sweatpant jeans and a cut-off shorts.
