The Kahala Hotel and Resort plays the host to two special wine events in March: their own inaugural wine celebration and the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business Alumni Association "Executive Vineyards" event.
SYMPOSIA: A Celebration of Wine
The Kahala Hotel & Resort will present its inaugural SYMPOSIA: A Celebration of Wine event on Saturday, March 13th. The event will allow guest to enjoy wine selections from 12 different California and Australian wineries along with food pairings and more.

The Kahala’s executive chef Wayne Hirabayashi will be preparing spring-inspired dishes at five culinary stations and cigar connoisseur Michael Herklots of Davidoff will be on hand beachside to showcase cigars from Davidoff, Avo, Griffin’s and Zino Classic.
SYMPOSIA: A Celebration of Wine takes place on Saturday, March 13 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Kahala O Ke Kai lawn. The cost is $50 per person, plus tax and 20% service fee.

10th annual Executive Vineyards
Earlier that week, The Kahala will play host to the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association’s “10th Annual Executive Vineyards" event on Thursday, March 11 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., a fundraiser to benefit the UH Manoa Shidler College of Business.
The 2010 Executive Vineyards is an evening of entertainment, great food and fine wines from around the world.
Proceeds from this evening will go towards the endowed scholarship fund benefiting the students of the Shidler College of Business and will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Shidler matching gifts program.
The wine tasting will feature hundreds of wines from around the world, generously donated by M&S Brokerage and Better Brands. There are also 60 premium tickets available for a special private educational wine seminar and a sampling of exclusive wines and food pairing.
The menu will include a variety of food stations featuring restaurants from the Kahala Hotel & Resort – Hoku’s, Plumeria Beach House and the Veranda. The event will take place in the Maile Ballroom and Foyer, with the premium ticket wine seminar next door at the Waialae Ballroom. Special hotel rates are available for the evening at the Kahala Hotel & Resort and can be booked by calling the Shidler office.
There will also be a silent auction featuring dining certificates, hotel, travel, art, entertainment and much more.
