Thursday, Oct. 8, to Sunday, Oct. 11

Pickleball is taking over the Hawai‘i Convention Center this weekend with 33 courts and 800 players. Registration is already full, but come cheer on local, mainland and international competitors and shop the pickleball product marketplace. New this year, the University of Hawai‘i team will battle squads from University of Virginia, Indiana University and University of Southern California in the Collegiate Invitational on Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Shells, Wings & Wonder: An Architectural LEGO Workshop

Saturday, Oct. 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’s the last weekend to experience larger-than-life LEGO sculptures at the Aloha Bricks ’26: Stories of Hawai‘i exhibit. For a more immersive visit, join a 30-minute workshop led by local architects from the American Institute of Architects Hawai‘i Chapter. You’ll build nature-themed structures out of LEGO bricks, like a tiny home inspired by a snail or a treehouse for an emerging butterfly.

Rescheduled from August, this pyrotechnics show will light up the sky over the waterpark, concluding a jam-packed day of fun. In addition to waterslides and the lazy river, enjoy a lineup of free activities, including a pumpkin pie-eating contest, Minions and Monsters Dive’n’Movie at the wave pool, character meet-and-greets, a glow foam dance party, a live DJ, giveaways and more.

Party after hours at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum surrounded by historic aircraft on a real WWII aviation battlefield. You’ll sample eight local craft beers, enjoy food and listen to live music inside Hangar 37. The event raises funds for the museum’s educational programs and restoration of artifacts and exhibits.
