See performances ranging from taiko to hula at Ala Moana Center, International Market Place and the Kūhiō Beach Hula Mound throughout the weekend, attend the ho‘olaule‘a and bon dance in the streets of Waikīkī on Friday night and watch the grand finale parade along Kalākaua Ave. on Sunday at 5 p.m.

While King Kamehameha Day falls on Wednesday, June 11, this year, the festivities continue into the weekend. Watch Hawaiian cultural protocols and pageantry as handmade lei are draped on the King Kamehameha statute at Ali‘iōlani Hale on Friday. Then on Saturday, cheer on the procession of floral floats, marching bands and pā‘ū riders as they parade down King St. from downtown to Waikīkī. Finally, enjoy the ho‘olaule‘a at Kapi‘olani Park with Hawaiian cultural activities, hula, live entertainment, games and workshops.

Celebrate Father’s Day surrounded by the things dads love most at this adventure enthusiasts’ show. Explore the latest biking, boarding, camping and hunting equipment, view unique off-road 4×4 vehicles and watercraft, plus shop for sporting goods and even aerial drones. Keiki will enjoy a petting zoo, face painting and interactive games too.

Ikebana Floral Art Exhibition

Admire more than 30 arrangements of this graceful art form by members of the local Ikenobo chapter along with representatives from Kyoto, Japan. Dating back 555 years, Ikebana is the floral art of Japan, originating from offertory flowers set before Buddha. If you feel inspired to learn yourself, sign up for classes offered by the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Honolulu.
