Lollipop Candied Apples

A Miniature Twist on a Sweet Classic

Ingredients:

  • (Unit) 4-inch lollipop sticks
  • (Unit) Melon-ball scooper
  • (Unit) Granny Smith apples (one apple makes about 8 mini apples)
  • (Unit) Chocolate/vanilla/caramel meltable chips (microwavable chips)
  • (Unit) Chopped macadamia nuts or peanuts and shredded coconut
  • (Unit) Small baking cups

Instructions:

1. Cut the lollipop sticks in half at an angle.

2. Use the melon-ball scooper to scoop little balls out of the apple.

3. Each section should have a part of the apple peel.

4. Push half of the lollipop stick (pointed-angle end) into the peel of each ball.

5. Pat the apple pieces dry.

6. Melt the chips according to the package instructions.

7. Dip and swirl the mini apples in the melted chips up to the peel so that the peel remains undipped.

8. Roll the apples in the nuts and/or coconut.

9. Place the mini apples in the paper baking cups to set.
