Something New is Cooking at Tango

Recently, Best new Oahu Restaurant winner, Tango Contemporary Cafe, made some changes to its lunch menu. Chef Goran Streng has created new daily specials (available Monday-Friday) at the Kakaako restaurant.

Here’s a look at the schedule/menu:

  • Monday- Sweet Madras Curry with Grilled Banana and Mango Chutney, Steamed Rice with Shrimp, Chicken or Vegetarian
  • Tuesday – Miso Butterfish
  • Wednesday – Scallops and Shrimp in Lobster Cream, Brown Rice
  • Thursday – Blue Cheese Filled Hamburger, Chili Fried Onion Rings on Brown Rice
  • Friday – Fish ‘n Chips with Tartar Sauce


Tango Contemporary Cafe
will also host a Third Tuesday at Tango wine dinner on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m. Chef Goran will be putting together a special 3-course menu which will be paired with various wines.

Here’s a look at the special menu:

First course
“Trio of Duck” – Duck Lumpia, Duck Confit, and Sauteed Foie Gras Deglazed with Raspberry Vinegar
Paired with Hogue, Riesling “Late Harvest” 2008 Washington State (6 oz.)

Second course
Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb with Sarladaise Potato, Merlot Reduction
Paired with Clos Du Bois “Marlstone” Meritage 2004 Sonoma (6 oz.)

Third course
Vanilla Rice Pudding with Wild Berry Compote
Paired with “Portocinco” by Robert Mondavi Woodbridge (2 oz.)

The three-course dinner is available for $45.00 plus Tax and Tip. Limited seating.
