More than 1,500 candle-lit lanterns will illuminate the waters off Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island at the 10th annual lantern floating ceremony. Every Memorial Day at dusk, 40,000 residents and tourists send off lanterns bearing wishes and prayers in the spirit of peace and to remember loved ones who have passed.
