Crafters will be selling handmade creations, including jewelry, accessories, household goods, kitchenware, bags and apparel. Buy back-to-school necessities for the kiddos or indulge yourself with stylish baubles. There will also be rides, games and activities for kids.

Fashion Back to the Past
What: Target, our happy place for budget stationery, makeup, clothes and accessories (the fact you can pick up some Fruity Pebbles while you’re there is a big plus) just wrapped a project with an unlikely partner: Vogue. The result is a photo series that's equal parts beautiful and adorable. The styling team reimagined famous Vogue images from the past using big-name models of today (including Karen Elson) and Target products and clothing. Plus, we love how the gallery includes sassy GIFs, links to shop the products, and behind-the-scenes peeks.
Where: vogue.com
Details: Many of the products shown are Target exclusives, such as the pieces in the 1964 photo, which are from Adam Lippes’ fall line.
Eat
Keep on Truckin’
What: If you’re not on board with the food-truck trend yet, you’re missing out. A whole variety of ‘ono things to eat—on wheels?? We think it’s genius, so you know we’ll be heading down to Waikīkī this weekend to hit up the Great Hawaiian Food Truck Festival. On the eating and drinking end of the line-up, vendors will include Petit Suisse Crepes, Uncle’s Ice Cream, Mega-Load Burgers, Franny’s Mini Donuts, Diamond Taffy and Papa’s Pizza. If you can manage to drag yourself away from the grinds, stop over at crafters such as Seafoam Green, Aloha Wood Art and Pearls and Beads for some shopping.
When: Saturday, Aug. 15, 5–10 p.m.
Where: Waikīkī Beach Walk, 227 Lewers St.
Details: This event is free—and bike-friendly! There will be a bike valet in front of Pacific Beach Hotel.

Shop
Pop Yup
What: Another month, another wardrobe update. Right now, you can get yours at Manaola Hawai‘i’s pop-up shop at Ala Moana’s Hula Lehua. The brand will have limited hours for the next few months with a brand-freaking-new run of Manaola favorites ready for you to shop. Think silk scarves, rompers and breezy dresses in eye-catching Manaola prints.
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.–9 p.m.
Where: Hula Lehua, Ala Moana Center
Details: Call (808) 941-8881 for more information.
Eat
Chili Pepper Festival
What: Some like it hot—and we are definitely a part of that crowd. So when we heard “Chile Pepper Festival,” we immediately shot it to the top of our to-do list. This spicy little event, which is a part of the Pearlridge Farmer’s Market, will include a chili cook-off and is all about educating the public on different uses for the chili pepper. Regular vendors such as Baker Dude, Wow Wow Lemonade, Country Shave Ice and Link will be incorporating this ingredient into at least one menu item. Think chile relleno, spicy salami chili, chili lemonade and shave ice with chili. Nom.
When: Saturday, Aug. 15, 8 a.m.–noon
Where: Pearlridge Center
Details: Call 488-0981 for more information.
