Shop

Give a Little

What: Giving for a good cause is a reward in itself—especially when, in the process, you get deals and discounts! When you give back, you get a lot at Windward Mall’s 11th Annual Festival of Giving. A $10 donation to your favorite local nonprofit earns you a Festival of Giving passport, which will open up a world of deals, discounts and offers from participating restaurants and stores in the mall. There will also be live music and hula performances to enjoy in between shopping.
When: Through Sunday, Nov. 8
Where: 46-056 Kamehameha Highway, Kane‘ohe
Details: Visit windwardmall.com for more information on the mall.

Watch

Shaken, Not Stirred

What: We’ve all grown up watching James Bond. It was the quintessential dad franchise—until Daniel Craig’s rebooted version showed up with the sexy AF Casino Royale and then the even sexier Skyfall. Craig’s dark and brooding James is all “debonair, don’t care” 24/7, these plots have got us on the edge of our seats, and the leading lady lineup has been on point (Eva, we love you!). If the trailer is any indication, Spectre, which came out yesterday,is on the same track with the dashing, moody James and sizzling lady—played by Lea Seydoux from Blue Is the Warmest Color. Let’s cross our fingers that the plots are just as sexy.
When: Check out movie times for tonight here.
Details: Visit the official James Bond website here.

Attend

Margaret Cho

What: Get ready to laugh your skirts off. Margaret Cho, the funny lady herself, is on the Island to tickle your funny bones at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall. You’ve probably had more than a few times when you laughed at her stand-up routines, guffawed at her jokes and chuckled at her comedic characters, but we have a favorite Cho moment, ourselves: her colorful version of our very own HONOLULU Fashion Week producer, Lynne Hanzawa O’Neill on Sex and the City. Tickets to Cho’s Hawai‘i show are going fast, so snatch them up now.
When: Friday, Nov. 6, 8 p.m.
Where: Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall
Details: Purchase tickets here.
