The End of the Year Cupcake and Cocktail Party Fundraiser

Support the Downtown arts scene by attending this end-of-the-year fundraiser for The Arts at Marks Garage. Dine on food by Soul De Cuba and dessert by Let Them Eat Cupcakes, and enjoy a live performance by Streetlight Cadence and a burlesque show by Sweet Soiree. There will also be raffle prizes, a silent auction and a holiday glass exhibit on display.

Bevy Annual Christmas Madness

Santa Claus is making a special appearance Thursday night at Bevy’s annual Christmas party, and will (probably) be dancing to funk, soul and jazz music by DJs Seeko, Roger Bong and Oliver Seguin along with the rest of us. Order holiday drinks and food, and enjoy a night out at this Yuletide celebration.

The Nutcracker

Friday, December 19 through Sunday, December 21

There are two performances of the holiday ballet classic to choose from this weekend, one from The Hawai‘i State Ballet and the other from Ballet Hawai‘i. The difference? The Hawai‘i State Ballet’s production stars local alumni of its Junior Company at Mamiya Theatre, while Ballet Hawai‘i production features international dance stars from companies including the New York City Ballet at Neal Blaisdell.

Lito Arkangel performs at Atherton

Festival of Lights Boat Parade

Saturday, December 20

Visit the Koko Marina Center, Hawai‘i Kai Towne Center and the Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center for a night of music, entertainment and to see its 18th annual Christmas boat parade. The decorated boats will sail their way through the marina as boaters compete for big prizes.

The Second Annual Jingle Rock Run

It’s time to find a reindeer costume for you and seven of your friends, because this weekend is Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i’s Jingle Rock Run. It’s a fun, family-friendly run/walk at night through downtown and past the Honolulu City Lights. Dress in festive attire and enjoy the holiday entertainment in Kaka‘ako at the finish line.
