5 Places President Barack Obama was Spotted Hanging with the Locals in 2016

The coolest part of President Obama being in town is the high chance of running into him and, if you’re lucky, maybe even taking a selfie with him. Here are a few places where people have run into him during his current trip to Hawai‘i.

1. Alan Wong’s Honolulu

2. Island Snow

The Kailua shave ice shop has been an Obama family favorite for years, and even sells T-shirts with “Obama Kailua” on them.

4. USS Arizona Memorial 

In a historic visit, President Barack Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe jointly paid their respects to the war dead at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
