2016 USS Utah Memorial Sunset Service
The USS Utah Memorial Sunset Ceremony honors the sailors who served and died aboard the USS Utah, a former battleship used for target and gunnery training. The ship capsized after being struck by two Japanese torpedoes on Dec. 7, 1941. Dozens of men died on board. The ceremony has been held every year at sunset to honor the lives lost and thank the survivors for their service.
