Keiki Artists Invited To Enter AlohaCare’s 19th Annual Statewide Art Contest

(Sponsored) Calling all keiki to enter their artwork expressing how they stay healthy in this year’s statewide art contest by AlohaCare.

AlohaCare announces its 19th Annual Children’s Art Contest! Hawaii students in grades K-6 are invited to complete the caption “I keep healthy by ….” and create a drawing that artistically reflects their response.

 

Twelve winning entries will be featured in AlohaCare’s 2022 Children’s Art Calendar. Artwork will be judged in four categories: kindergarten, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grades. Drawings are judged based on artistic interpretation and the creativity of the caption.

 

Certificates and a cash prize will be awarded to three winners in each category:

  • 1st Place – $100
  • 2nd Place – $75
  • 3rd Place – $50

 

When creating their artwork, keiki may choose from one of these health-related categories:

  • Preventive health (i.e., using hand sanitizer, washing hands, dental care)
  • Mental health (i.e., enjoying a hobby or time with loved ones)
  • Nutrition (i.e., drinking water, eating fruits and vegetables, staying away from junk food)
  • Physical activities (i.e., swimming, going on walks, dancing)
  • Celebrating healthcare professionals

 

To enter: Complete artwork on a 8.5” x 11” horizontal white paper along with an entry form and submit to AlohaCare via mail or email cwakida@alohacare.org.

 

The deadline to enter is Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021.
