The hottest block party in town returns! The ever-popular Honolulu Night Market is back in the Our Kaka‘ako neighborhood this Saturday, July 18, with more than 70 of your favorite food and retail vendors, interactive cultural activities and live entertainment.

The three-block event extends across Auahi, Coral, Keawe St. and The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako from 5 to 10 p.m. Learn where to park, which vendors and entertainers are coming and what’s new this season in our comprehensive event guide.

Where to Park

Waterfront Plaza (validated event parking)

Validated event parking at a special flat rate of $6 will be available at the Waterfront Plaza parking garage at 500 Ala Moana Blvd. for entry after 2 p.m. Entrances to the garage are located on Pohukaina St. and South St. After parking at Waterfront Plaza, swing by the Our Kaka‘ako info booth for parking validation. More information on Waterfront Plaza’s standard public parking rates is available online.

Additional Event Parking in Our Kaka‘ako

Limited parking is available at Our Kaka‘ako parking garages at:

• Salt at Our Kaka‘ako (333 Keawe St.)
• The Shops at Keauhou Lane (555 South St.)
• The Flats at Pu‘unui (440 Keawe St.)

Vehicles must enter between 4 and 10 p.m. and exit by 11:59 p.m. for special event rates: $3 for 1.5 hours and $5 for 8 hours with parking validation. Visit the Our Kaka‘ako info booth during Honolulu Night Market for parking validation. Standard rates apply without parking validation.

Metered street parking is also available.

What to Do

• Enjoy three blocked-off streets of food, beverage and retail booths (see our vendor and organization list below)
• Check out two entertainment stages at The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako and at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard in front of H Mart with a packed program of local talent (see our entertainment lineup below)
• If you’re over 21, visit the beer garden presented by Pitch Sports bar at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard in front of H Mart and at the intersection of Auahi and Cooke St. for a refreshing alcoholic beverage

• Made Live: Crafting Cultural Expression – Check out a curated fashion showcase and cast your vote for the designs that you feel most powerfully reflect innovation, artistry and cultural expression. Audience favorites will be selected towards the end of the night.
• Poetry of Pa‘akai: Crafting Stories of Place – Join an interactive storytelling experience that weaves your ideas together with those of your community. Share your mana‘o—your thoughts and beliefs—which will be transformed into live typewriter poetry by a local poet, creating a unique and memorable tapestry of place, culture and community.
• Ulana Lau Niu: Crafting ‘Āina – Try your hand at ulana lau niu, or coconut frond weaving, and learn the art of transforming traditional natural materials into beautiful and purposeful creations.
• Bubbaloha – Have fun and take photos with oversized bubbles.

Tips

• The vendor lines tend to get long as the night draws on, so plan to arrive early and grab a snack to ease your appetite as you line up for dinner.
• Because parking tends to fill up early, consider ridesharing or carpooling, especially if you plan to drink at the beer gardens.
• You can find restrooms in Our Kaka‘ako retail spaces as well as two public restroom trailers near H Mart and at the intersection of Auahi and Cooke St.
• Payment type depends on each vendor, but most vendors take all forms of payment. ATMs are available at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako.
• First aid provided by the Honolulu Fire Department will be located at the corner of Keawe and Auahi St.
