The Purse-suit of Happiness

Lei ChicYou’ve been hunting for a new handbag for weeks now, but finding the perfect purse is turning out to be a total pain in the sass. Right color, wrong size. Right size, wrong shape. Hideous altogether; repeat.

Instead of shouldering the burden of another “just ok" bag, check out the latest styles from locally made Treehouse Designs.

Not settling was exactly what Maui-based designer Shannon Peck had in mind when she started the line. The bags Peck found in stores never lived up to the styles she envisioned for herself, so she began designing her own to get exactly what she wanted. Lei Chic
Turns out they’re also exactly what we wanted.

Available in a bevy of cool shapes and patterns, you’ll have a hard time settling on just one Peck has options to flatter any outfit.

The style mix includes totes, hobos, big and small bucket styles and chic little envelope clutches. And the print options range from sassy giraffe and zebra designs to bold, graphic link and flower patterns to nature-inspired driftwood and shell styles. Handmade from a mix of ultra-soft microsuede and sturdy cotton canvas, all come decked out with clever, unexpected details, like knotted handles, metal rings and hidden pockets.

Best of all, if you don’t see the shape you want in the print your heart desires, Peck will custom make it for you. She’ll even change the length of a strap if you ask nicely.

Which means you've got picking out your new bag,
well, in the bag.
