Making the most of our morning commute.
Kicking ass and taking names at thrift stores.
Keeping our flower bling on fleek.
Here at Lei Chic, we’ve pretty much got life in the bag. If some big crisis comes along, you can bet we’ve totes got things under control. Except, of course, when it comes to wardrobe emergencies, aka the fashionista’s kryptonite. Like this morning, when we woke up and realized we are so over our bag collection. It feels like we’re trapped in the clutches of doom.
Thank goodness for our newest fair-leather friend, handbag brand she + lo. This luxe line of leather beauties just released a brand-new Summer 2015 collection of totally on-trend crossbodies, buckets, hobos and motos you’ll want to tote around with you all season long. We’re talking everything from a roomy satchel in a distressed, blue-and-black wash that screams punk in the sun, to a fun, woven, drawstring number with an easygoing, boho feel. And we love the understated-yet-edgy details (think diagonal zippers, perforated bodies and color-blocked weaving) almost as much as we love that designer Laura Darrah is a Kailua native.
Darrah, Punahou grad and founder of successful handbag line Treesje, has got this designing game in her pocket. Within a few months of launching she + lo, her bags were on the shelves in bigwig department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s and Nordstrom. In fact, to celebrate the launch of this new she + lo collection, Darrah will be zipping over to the Ala Moana Nordstrom this Saturday from 2–4 p.m. for a personal appearance. See the lady behind the leather, pick her business mind, get some style tips and then grab a bag for yourself.
Consider this style crisis handled.
$70–$398, available at Nordstorm, Ala Moana Center, and sheandlo.com.
