Maui Bounty

www.leichic.com
Kula lavender, deliciously sweet pineapple, beachy-chic Letarte bikinis. Some of your favorite little luxuries come straight from Maui.

The Valley Isle’s latest Oahu import? Mahina Boutique, the go-to shop of Maui’s stylish set (with three locations in Paia, Kihei and Lahaina) just opened its first Honolulu store in Waikiki.

The new shop has the same laid-back sensibility of its hometown predecessors with fashions that are as easy on the wallet as they are on the eyes—average prices range around $40 to $50.

And the covetable mix of merchandise is the same too. Co-owner Jody Curtin scours L.A. for exclusives and the coolest new lines.

Along with Mahina staples like comfy Mi Rena floral print and tie-dye camis, super-soft S&S shawl cardigans, stretchy bandeau tops, and drapey deep-scoop tees, the racks boast pieces from hard-to-find labels, like embroidered Ya Los Angeles shift dresses, jewel tone Green Ville racerback tunics, Akulani graphic-print jumpers, and denim from Nissi Jeans, Machine Denim and Miss Me.

And there’s a ton of affordable accessories, from cork wedges and flat sandals to trendy faux-leather bags to a tightly edited collection of costume jewelry—sweet little sparrow rings, studded wooden bangles and pendant necklaces strung with stone clusters, owls and trees.

Best of all, a quick flash of your kama’aina ID will instantly get you 10 percent off all regular price merchandise.

Talk about Maui wowie.

Mahina, Waikiki Beach Walk, 226 Lewers Street STE. 136, 808.924.5500. For more info, email freshstuff@mahinamaui.com, or click here.
