These are the bikinis and maillots you’ve been waiting for.
This report is brought to you by our love for swimwear.
Tidings continue to roll out in the political realm with approval ratings jumping and diving left and right. But when it comes to dives, we’ve got our eyes on the pool, with some big news that’s got our wire absolutely buzzing. Acacia Swimwear is gearing up to release its 2015 collection, Hawai‘i Nei, and we can’t wait to share the scoop on it. In fact, we want to scoop every piece right into our closets.
Look for fabulous tropical prints you’ve come to expect from Acacia, including taro-leaf-cluster and navy-and-magenta designs that take Island-inspired florals to a pretty, modern, new place we love. Sexy and surprising details, such as strappy braids, daring cutouts, long-sleeve rashguard styles and statement-making criss-cross patterns headline this collection, while the sportswear-inspired separates (think striped waistbands and racerback cuts) will be newsworthy additions to your swim wardrobe.
Designers Lyndie Irons and Naomi Newirth looked to nature, taking inspiration from Maui’s red sand beaches, waterfalls and ponds, for a lush color palette and verdant selection of patterns, mixed with soft neutrals and playful mesh. They paired the suits with cool resortwear pieces on the runway at Miami Fashion Week, showcasing stretchy tank dresses, lace-up maxis, breezy jumpsuits and comfy tunics. It’s an Island-appropriate spread that fits into our style guide perfectly.
