If you’re a little unsure about what to do for New Year’s Eve, don’t worry. These spots around town are guaranteed to give you a bottle-popping, fireworks-watching, disco-dancing night to remember.

Before celebrating all night, start your evening right with an unbelievable dinner at Chef Mavro’s. The menu includes caviar, foie gras, lobster curry, confit hamachi, wagyu beef and dessert. Thirty stories above Waikiki beach, watch the fireworks displays with an unobstructed view from Twist at Hanohano. Twist will feature a special five-course meal for New Years Eve, with seating beginning at 5 pm. Ever since it opened, this club has ruled Honolulu’s nightlife for the twenty-something club crowd. This evening, Level 4 will celebrate Studio 54, so come dressed to disco into the New Year. DJs Paul Brandon and Mike D will be playing disco with current club favorites. You know it will be packed, so get your tickets early, or reserve VIP. $30 presale, $50 at the door. This will be the only club playing house music in Waikiki on New Years Eve. It will have its usual three rooms of music with Revise playing soul funk and dbox playing hip-hop. Halekulani’s popular upscale lounge will be open from 7:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. with jazz piano entertainment by Bruce Hamada and Jim Howard. Nothing different will be done for New Year’s Eve, but why would you want it to be different? It’s already first-rate. There will be a $10 cover for non-house guests. The only club on the ocean, RumFire will countdown the New Year with a drop of its own Rum Fireball into the Sheraton’s new pool. Ms. Chanel and Auggie T will host, while DJs, a hip-hop dance troupe, a fashion show, cabaret showgirls and Makana perform. Grand prizes will be given away from Sheraton Waikiki, RumFire and Twist at Hanohano. Non-alcoholic beverages will be free all night for the DD’s. Flash & Matty Boy take over the entire W Hotel with four rooms to party: the Lobby Bar, the second floor and the VIP-only penthouse suite, which gives a view of the fireworks from its wrap around lanai. Star 101.9 and Maleko will host this themed Masquerade Ball, with the help of F&M DJ’s, dancers and the Cherry Blossom Cabaret. Limited valet parking, no guest list, 21+, cover TBA.
