Finding an irresistible mix of fashion might normally send you traipsing all over town, but not this weekend when the Best of Honolulu festival brings a whole lot of talent to one place.

Handbag designer Jana Lam will be offering 30 percent off her Sunday Funday carry-all, aka the must-have mom tote, and new slouchy, cross-body bags. 19th & Whimsy will have you pining for its rainbow-pineapple print which debuted last week. “It’s whimsical and colorful for summer, and matches the unisex onesie I recently released,” says designer Lauren Hayashibara.
Other labels that you’ll see, love and (most likely) buy from are Cameron Hawai‘i, Ecolicious, Sandy Feet Hawai‘i, Auds and Ends Shop, and Yireh, whose booth will house breezy dresses and rompers from its Streets of Gold collection, plus eccentric jewelry pieces from around the world.

Magpies should swing by Kira Hawai‘i’s booth for great minimal statement rings and cuffs, and check out Iratik’s bold, boho-chic necklaces. If layering is your game, Katrina Cordova will be stocking gorgeous pendant and lariat necklaces from her Summer ’17 collection, and offering festival-exclusive discounts.
Great gift items are also in store, including adorable succulent arrangements from Momo Terrascapes and craft-happy party favors from Death by Scrapbooking. Snag Island-inspired artwork from Lauren Roth at 10 percent off, along with the artist’s Shell totes, coloring books and clutches. Tip: While snapping up Bradley & Lily’s tropical cards and notebooks, check out the stationer’s freshly released clutches featuring Diamond Head and seaweed designs.

And, because this is a family event, we made sure to have a few kid-and-kane-friendly booths. Coco Moon is over-the-moon to release its new boy’s apparel collection featuring smiley sharks and rad surf mobiles, while Keiki Elements will have a sweet selection of baby fashions and lifestyle accessories. HVN Apparel’s men’s graphic tees, made from sustainable materials, are a fun (and oh-so-comfy) find for the fellas.
The Best of Honolulu Festival 2017 happens this Saturday, Aug. 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds. Parking is free at the Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building parking garage located at the corner of Alapa‘i and Beretania streets.
