Coming soon: The Cove Waikiki

by Jeff Brink

The Cove Waikiki opened its sales office this past weekend to a door-busting crowd. The mid-level condo—slated to start construction in March 2012—is alluring because it's new, centrally located, and attractively priced.

"It's not going to be a luxury condo," explains realtor George Krischke. "It's priced to be attainable for casual, but very contemporary, Waikiki living."

The new mid-rise residential condominium project, located on 1.6 acres in a secluded neighborhood near the entrance to Waikiki, will feature 117 one- and two-bedroom homes spread across three five-story buildings.

Fee simple prices will be about $350K to $450K for one-bedroom units, and in the $400-500K range for two-bedroom units. The one-bedrooms will be about 561 to 704 square feet, while the two-bedrooms will be 787 to 925 square feet. Residences will be located on the upper floors, with secured parking below, creating palm tree views; some units will be able to acquire more than one parking stall, as 190 stalls are in the plan.

"The style is very 'beach chic,'" says realtor Khai Tran. "The standard floors are carpet, but you can upgrade to wood, and even the ceramic tiles in the bathroom are designed to look like wood. The materials selected are low-maintenance so you can just enjoy living in Waikiki." (Click here to see a video of the sales model.)

Other features include large bay windows; fully-equipped kitchens with stainless steel GE appliances, granite countertops, custom tile flooring and cabinetry; well-appointed bathrooms with granite countertops, custom tile flooring and cabinetry, tile showers with glass doors and designer fixtures; and 10-foot ceilings in the penthouse homes.

Other amenities will include a pool, private park and outdoor barbecue areas among nearly 26,000 square feet of landscaped yards and gardens.

The Cove Waikiki is scheduled to finish construction in late 2013. The project's broker is Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties.

Located at 1800 Kaioo Drive, The Cove Waikiki Sales Office is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Mondays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (808) 943-0770 or visit www.thecovewaikiki.com.
