Park envy in Maunawili

Have you ever heard of “park envy?” That’s how Prudential Locations realtor Donna Yamagishi describes her listing in Maunawili, which seems to be giving and getting it.

The 14,902-square-foot property is a sprawling, parklike setting in itself, located at the end of a cul-de-sac. It has a huge, open, grassy yard, with flat as well as sloping areas (I’m not sure if it’s steep enough to go cardboard surfing).

It has Mt. Olomana as a backdrop, which lends a majestic presence.

The single level, 2,454-square-foot home has four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a huge kitchen and various areas for entertaining. There are interesting little custom features, like the Stoneless music system (accessible for iPhones or iPods).

If you choose to entertain outside, there is a solar-heated, salt water pool with a large deck … overlooking the gigantic yard, of course.

This home will be open on Sunday if you’d like to see it yourself. Bring your own cardboard. (Click here for details.)

Money talk: $1,279,000 fee simple
