The fourth annual Best of Honolulu Festival hits the Honolulu Hale civic grounds this Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to shopping, ‘ono food, sponsor prizes and entertainment, this year the HONOLULU team has something extra-special in the works.

After collaborations with Pow! Wow! Hawai‘i and Fighting Eel earlier this year, we wanted to create something both the ladies and the braddahs can rock. Enter Ed Sugimoto, founder of favorite Island brand VH07V, master of clever designs loved by locals and the perfect choice for our next collab. Weeks of brainstorming, multiple design mockups and countless color changes later, the HONOLULU x VH07V collab tee, available in two stylish colorways, was born.
The brand-new collab drops this Saturday at the Best of Honolulu Festival, but—sorry!—they’re not for sale. Here’s how you can get one: Subscribe to 12 issues of HONOLULU Magazine at the Best of Honolulu Festival this Saturday and you’ll receive one of our limited-edition shirts (stylish pink-and-amber on white, or cool slate-and-white on black? your choice!) as a welcome gift from the HONOLULU team.
Want to become a print subscriber? Just visit our booth at the Best of Honolulu Festival to sign up and choose your free gift. We’ll also have a limited number of our HONOLULU x Pow! Wow! Hawai‘i totes, featuring local artist duo Wooden Wave’s retro-cool design, for sale.
The VH07V brand was founded by local boy Ed Sugimoto, a Honolulu native and force behind the “Aloha Revolution.” Featured prominently on a rotating collection of shirts, caps and sweaters for men and women, the VH07V logo, which spells aloha upside-down, when worn is a subtle reminder to keep the aloha in our hearts.
