Dale Hope at Lucky Brand Jeans in Honolulu

Lucky Numbers: Dale Hope teams up with Lucky Brand Jeans for an Island-inspired collaboration.

Published:

Left to right: Men’s polo shirt, $59.50, men’s Del Mar linen cargo shorts, $89.50, women’s silk pants, $119.

Free spiritedness and a laid-back sensibility are trademarks of Lucky Brand Jeans, two themes  echoed strongly within Hawaii’s fashion aesthetic. So it’s no surprise that the SoCal clothing label tapped local textile designer Dale Hope for its latest collaborative collection. An aloha shirt expert, Hope helmed Kahala Sportswear as creative director for 15 years. What is surprising is the mini collection’s fashion-forward mix. Along with Hope’s classic men’s button-downs, the range includes fitted polo shirts and cargo shorts for guys, plus floaty silk blouses, short-sleeve henleys and flirty tank dresses for women. Lucky Brand Jeans, 2113 Kalakaua Ave., 922-2900.
