A Vegetable Tasting

The Pineapple Room will host its next Winez & Grindz Dinner on September 16, 2009.  Chef de Partie Jill Dwornik has set out to create a vegetarian menu using the techniques, ingredients, and influences that she has learned in her time at The Pineapple Room.

Jill created a menu that highlights Hawaii’s bounty of fresh, local products like Twin Bridge Farms Asparagus, Hawaiian Hearts of Palm, Ma’o Farms Swiss Chard, Big Island Goat Cheese, and Kula Strawberries. Following the success of her Winez and Grindz Dinner in July, this is sure to be a can't miss culinary event.

Jill’s inspiration came from her experiences with a family of vegetarians. This menu is the result of a collaborative process with executive chef Lance Kosaka. Chef Lance and Jill worked together to come up with dishes that would appeal to everyone interested in a new dining experience.

The Winez and Grindz Dinner features an up-and-coming cook at The Pineapple Room. With guidance from Executive Chef Lance Kosaka, the cooks create their own dishes and put together their own menus showcasing their personal styles.

Here's a look at the menu:
