When We Were Winners

A Perfect Season: Hawaii 2007 WAC Champions

All right, so we didn’t win the Sugar Bowl, and June Jones left us. Hey, we still got the chance to root on the greatest team in UH football history at their first-ever BCS game. If you’re in the mood to reminisce, check out this month’s release of A Perfect Season (Bess Press, $29.95). The 200-plus pager is a follow-up to author J. David Miller’s Hawaii Warrior Football: A Story of Faith, Hope and Redemption, which sold more than 30,000 copies last year. This time around, The Honolulu Advertiser provided access to its news and photo archives, creating what publisher Buddy Bess ensures “will be a highly visual keepsake for all Warrior football fans.” Available at all Hawaii book outlets, www.amazon.com and www.besspress.com.
