They’ll welcome you with a drink at their monthly event, Love of Libations, which celebrates drinks and entertainment. This month’s theme is “Sunset, Sake, Sip!” Enjoy a relaxing evening mingling with other libation lovers while sipping on different types of sake as you watch a gorgeous sunset. Attend: Fourth Annual Kalo and ʻAwa Festival

We grow them. We consume them. We love them. Kalo and ʻawa star in their own festival that celebrates their importance in Hawaiian culture and their continued significance and uses today. Check out the kalo farmer displays and learn about identifying the different varieties in Hawaiʻi. Stick around for demonstrations, including harvesting and processing ʻawa to drink. You’ll get to taste both, too. Live entertainment will be provided and you can enter giveaways.

Eat: BLT Steak Waikīkī Cooking Class: Curing and Pickling

Impress your loved ones by taking your cooking skills to the next level. Swanky steakhouse BLT Steak Waikīkī is offering cooking classes, so you know they’ll be good. Enjoy a glass of Champagne or house wine during this 1.5-hour cooking demonstration on curing and pickling from the restaurant’s chef de cuisine, Guillaume Thivet. Then, dig into a delicious three-course lunch, which includes more wine, assorted sodas and iced tea.

Rock out. Save the environment. Want to join this party? Then head to the Greenroom Festival, a music event that supports beach conservancy and ocean awareness in Hawai‘i. The band called The Green is headlining, and there will be music performances by reggae band Big Mountain, as well as Japan groups Def Tech and SPECIAL OTHERS. Browse the market for an assortment of products and check out the food vendors if you’re hungry. Browse works by local artists Zak Noyle, Matthew Tapia and AJ Feducia. Participate in a yoga group and have a blast learning about sustainable practices.

Work Out: Summer’s End Glow Flow Yoga

Change up your yoga routine with a fun black light experience. Show up to The Modern Honolulu at 5 p.m. and get creative by painting yourself with neon body paint that will glow under the black light. Watch an acro yoga performance by Acro Yoga 808 and then you’ll get into a 90-minute yoga class led by Power Yoga Hawaiʻi’s yoga instructors Alex Moralez and Miks S. DJ DuhBreez will be spinning tunes throughout the evening. After class, head up to the pool deck for some tasty street tacos and drinks at the bar.

Watch: Avel Bacudio Triple Threat Fashion Show
Sunday, Sept. 11, 6 to 10 p.m.
Strut to the runway because Avel Bacudio, who was awarded Asia’s most influential designer award in 2014 by Jimmy Choo, is having a fashion show at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikīkī Resort. This Filipino designer will be joined by international recording artist Billy Crawford, R&B artist Jay R., actor Jerome Ponce and Miss Universe 2012’s first runner-up Janine Tugonon. This glam night features 40 models wearing Bacudio’s tailored and classic pieces.
