Kid or adult, Sunday is funday and we know just the place to go. Visit the 23rd Annual Hawai‘i Children & Youth Day for the funnest of fun times for the whole family. Open at 10 a.m., the Hawai‘i State Capitol hosts five entertainment stages with a jam-packed schedule of music, dances, special guests and surprises. And after visiting the 160-plus organization booths filled with kid-friendly activities, head over to Punchbowl Street, where food trucks and vendors are waiting to satisfy those post-excursion appetites.

Explore: Art After Dark: Hawai‘i in Design

This month’s ARTafterDARK explores how local artists translate their own Hawai‘i experiences creatively, with interactive light activity by artist Joseph Pa‘ahana and SPELLS, and a fashion show presented by local designer Kini Zamora—plus, watch things heat up as artist Chanel Tanaka paints on a unique canvas: the human body.
