Uber, Lyft and designated drivers, here’s a quick head(lights) up of this Halloweekend’s road closures.

 

Note: Lane closure schedules may change but at least we warned you these are planned. 

 

O‘ahu Lane Closures:

H-1 Freeway

‘Ewa to Kapolei

On Sunday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 3, there will be a roving lane closure in both directions on the H-1 between the Kunia/Waipahu/Ewa offramp (Exit 5B) and Kalaeloa Boulevard overpass from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for maintenance work.

 

Hālawa to Honolulu

The eastbound H-1 will have a right lane closure for maintenance work between the Hālawa Interchange and the Eastbound Nimitz Highway offramp from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.

 

Honolulu

There may be up to three right lanes closed heading eastbound between the Pālama Street underpass and the Queen Emma Street overpass on Sunday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 3, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

 

The shoulders at the Liliha Street overpass, A‘ala Street overpass and Queen Emma Street overpass will be closed 24 hours a day from Friday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Nov. 3, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

Kapolei

The westbound H-1, between the Kapolei/‘Ewa offramp (Exit 3) and Makakilo Drive overpass, will have a few lanes closed for utility repairs.

  • Two right lanes will be closed Sunday, Oct. 29, through Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • One right lane will be closed on Monday, Oct. 30, through Friday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Pearl Harbor

The Radford Drive overpass on the eastbound H-1 will be closed for guardrail repairs from Sunday, Oct. 29 to Friday, Nov. 3, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

 

Waimalu

In the eastbound direction, between the Ka‘ahumanu Street overpass and the Ka‘amilo Street overpass, there will be three lanes closed for maintenance work from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.

 

H-201 Moanalua Freeway

Hālawa

There will be a lane closure in the westbound direction between the Kāne‘ohe offramp (Exit 1D) and the ‘Aiea Heights Drive overpass from Sunday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 3, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for road improvements.

 

Heading eastbound, two lanes will be closed between the Kahuapa‘ani Street overpass and the Ala Kapuna Street overpass from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 3, for striping work.

 

H-3 Freeway

Kāneohe

If you’re driving toward Kāne‘ohe, the left lane at the Harano Tunnel will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

Farrington Highway

Nānākuli

Eastbound, a single lane will be closed between Haleakala Avenue and Nānākuli Avenue on Sunday, Oct. 29, to Friday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. for utility installations. Work is also tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28.

 

Between Lualei Place and Mohihi Street, there will be a 24-hour shoulder closure in the eastbound direction from Friday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Nov. 3, for restoration and landscaping.

 

Kamehameha Highway

Pearl Harbor

Lanes in both directions may be closed between Kohomua Street and Center Drive on Friday, Oct. 27, through Sunday, Oct. 29, and Monday, Oct. 30, through Friday, Nov. 3, for the rail. Visit honolulutransit.org for more details.

 

Likelike Highway

Kalihi

There will be 24-hour right lane closures at the ‘Alu Street and Gulick Avenue intersections in the Honolulu-bound direction from Friday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Nov. 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

Nimitz Highway

Honolulu

Lanes in both directions will be closed near Valkenburgh Street on Friday, Oct. 27, through Sunday, Oct. 29, and Monday, Oct. 30 through Nov. 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the rail project. Visit honolulutransit.org for more details.

 

Pali Highway

Nu‘uanu

In the Kāne‘ohe-bound direction near Waonaka street, the right lane will be closed on Saturday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28.

 

Ala Moana Boulevard

Honolulu

Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed between Queen Street and Pi‘ikoi Street  in the eastbound direction from 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, and continuously through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30. Traffic will be contraflowed through the westbound lanes.

 

Wilikina Drive

Wahiawā

Southbound, near Kunia Road, the right lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 for maintenance.

 

Keahumoa Parkway

Kapolei

Both directions have a right lane closure near Kualakai Parkway on Friday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Nov. 3, over a 24-hour period for the rail. Visit honolulutransit.org for more details.

 

Kunia Road

Wahiawā

There will be a roving closure in both directions between the H-1 Freeway and Schofield Barracks on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Ualena Street

Honolulu

A lane may be closed between Lagoon Drive and Ohohia Street from Friday, Oct. 27, through Sunday, Oct. 29, then from Monday, Oct. 30, through Friday, Nov. 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the rail project. Traffic will be contraflowed. Visit honolulutransit.org for more details.
