Begin the O‘ahu leg of this nearly monthlong feast at the first backyard barbecue, Howard Hughes Brews & BBQ (Oct. 23). Other standout gatherings include Crazy Rich Cocktails (Oct. 24) and Life’s a Beach (Oct. 26). But if you can only attend one, see international top chefs, master chefs, iron chefs, Michelin-starred restaurateurs and Hale ‘Aina Award winners at the Halekūlani Culinary Masters Gala, the festival’s closing event (Oct. 27).

This family-friendly showcase is the second act in a three-part series of hit Broadway shows coming to Honolulu. Five mentalists, magicians and tricksters from around the world promise to conjure a theatrical two-hour spectacle.

Special Olympics Hawaiʻi: Over the Edge 2019 Fundraiser

Saturday, October 26 | 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Raise money for Special Olympics Hawai‘i as you rappel from 40 stories (that’s 400 feet!) above Kūhiō Beach. Join the 11th annual fundraising event either as an individual or part of a team. You’ll have a bucket list-worthy adventure and the best views of Waikīkī and Diamond Head.

PechaKucha Honolulu Night: Supernatural

Wednesday, October 30 | 5:30–8 p.m.

Twenty images, 20 seconds each—that’s the rule of presenting at any PechaKucha. Speakers come from different career backgrounds, have a range of life experiences and hold a variety of viewpoints. But this month they must all touch on the supernatural.
