Your Guide to the Perfect Weekend in Honolulu: June 15–18, 2018
It’s summertime here in the Islands, and we’re bringing you a Father’s Day weekend featuring a food-filled film, spectacular barbecue buffet and an international-beer festival.
Arrangiarsi (Pizza … and The Art of Living)

Friends of Italy Society of Hawaiʻi and the Honolulu Museum of Art invite you to take a trip to southern Italy as they debut Arrangiarsi (Pizza … and The Art of Living). After living in his camper van in California for five months, filmmaker Matteo Troncone traveled to Naples to figure out his life, all while studying the art of pizza-making. Witness how he and many citizens of Naples apply the philosophy of “arrangiarsi” (the art of making something out of nothing) to their lives. Enjoy the sounds of minstrel Pierre Grill and get a taste of authentic Italian pizza. Award-winning Brick Fire Tavern will serve mouth-watering dishes (so don’t worry about starving through the movie). Guests are also welcomed to stay for a talk with the filmmaker after the movie.
$30–$35, Doris Duke Theatre, 901 Kīnaʻu St. To purchase tickets, go here.
