Pāhonu Pond Restoration Volunteer Day
Saturday, February 29, 3-5 p.m.
Spend the afternoon in waters off the Windward Side and help restore the wall of a centuries-old pond. The Waimānalo Limu Hui holds these pā restoration days quarterly at Pāhonu to restack the rocks that have been tumbling down the sides. Anyone with masonry experience is especially needed but all are welcome. Bring tabis, clothes don’t mind getting wet, and don’t forget the sunglasses and reef-safe sunscreen.
Free. Meet at Kaiona Beach Park. Go here for more about Saturday’s workday, and here for more information about the pāhonu.
