Hawai‘i Craft Beer Week
Friday, February 21, through Saturday, February 29
Starting this Friday, the Islands celebrate the best of our booming local craft beer biz. Expect new collaborations and releases from breweries and taprooms, battles of the brews and special dish pairings, followed by a craft beer festival next Saturday at Bishop Museum. You can even learn how to make beer with the crew from Lanikai Brewing Co. this Saturday. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance here.

John Craigie in Concert
Saturday, February 22, 7 to 10 p.m.
Folksy Americana hits Honolulu on Saturday night when John Craigie returns to perform songs from his repertoire. Check out an acoustic version of one of his most popular songs, “I Am California,” above. Stick around after the show for Electric Feels at 10:30 p.m., an indie dance party featuring songs by the likes of Glass Animals, Phoenix, MGMT, Passion Pit and more ($10–$20).

Honolulu African American Film Festival
Through Sunday, March 1
The festival kicked off last weekend, but you can still catch Cane River and Selah and the Spades on Saturday, plus Clemency, Always in Season and Chèche Lavi on Sunday. Make a day of it by checking out the museum’s latest traveling exhibit, 30 Americans, featuring works by 30 contemporary African American artists, which opens in the Henry R. Luce Gallery and Clare Boothe Luce Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art this Saturday. Museum admission is separate and costs $10 for kama‘āina.

Drag Queen Bingo
February 21, 10 p.m. to midnight
Every third Friday, grab your friends for an evening of bingo, drinks and performances by local queens—no, you don’t have to be a drag queen to participate. Seating is first come, first served, so get there early (doors open at 9 p.m.) and order dessert (the kitchen stays open until 11). Your ticket includes one glass of wine or beer. This week features Miss Emma Gration and Miss Angel Devida, with host Miss Candi Shell.
